Charles Thomas Buchheit

February 3, 1947 - August 17, 2026

Charles T. Buchheit passed away on August 17, 2026 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital.  Born on February 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Paul and Betty (Bye) Buchheit. 

A member of the Lockport Senior High School Class of 1966, Charlie as he was known to his classmates and many friends served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1970 and owned Struebing and Buchheit where he was the president for over 35 years.  Charlie also enjoyed golfing and being at home.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 30 years Karen (Hopkins) Buchheit; daughters, Stephanie (Randy) Bremer and Michelle Watier; six grandchildren; sister, Karen Buchheit; nephew, Jeffrey Budzinski; and also several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his siblings Peter Buchheit, Kathy (Joe) Mead, and Mary (Paul) Eichinger.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with services at 6 p.m. at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, would be appreciated by Charlie's family.
