Kenneth Raymond Sutter II

November 12 1948 - December 17, 2024

Kenneth (Ken) Raymond Sutter II passed away on December 17, 2024 at his home in Rockford, Michigan surrounded by friends.  Born in Lockport on November 12, 1948, he was the son of Kenneth and Shirley (Wieten) Sutter.

Kenneth graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1966 and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969.  He served overseas during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Recognition of Battery Medic.

After being discharged from the Army, Ken moved to Davenport, Iowa where he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic graduating in 1975 as a Chiropractor.  Ken then began practicing in Lockport with his Father until moving to Michigan in the early 1980s where he started his own practice and continued in the profession for a total of more than 46 years.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Joyce Partridge, and his brother, Craig Sutter.  He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Reagan and Nancy Forness, both of New York and his two daughters, Karen Marie Sutter and Carol Ann Olmstead, together with their families.

In addition, Ken is survived by his partner, Susan, her daughter, Erica, and their family as well as his dear friends, David Segard, Jr. (Samantha Hyrns), Thomas (Lynn) Wood and Craig Berens. 

A special note of appreciation is extended to Matt (Kaylynn) Kendall, Page Segard and Faith Hospice for their invaluable help and support during Ken's final days.

There was no visitation or funeral service as Ken was cremated and his ashes will be spread at a later date.  Donations can be made to Faith Hospice in Ken's name.
