James Preisch, age 66, of Lockport, died February 16, 2014, at his home, while under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice.

Jim was born in Lockport on February 15, 1948, the son of the late Robert and Shirley (Hicks) Preisch.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra Bragg Preisch; his children, Stephanie (Brent) Hill of Hamburg, Stephen (Tanya) of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, and Michael (Danielle) of Lockport; the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Summer (Dustin), Alex Andrea, Jordan, Nolan, Bailey, Samantha, Collin and Cole; siblings, Charles (Halle), Cindy (James), Rob (Yvonne) and was predeceased by his sister, Debbie (John) Meloon. He was also the son-in-law of Marion Bragg Donnelly and Jack Donnelly; brother-in-law of Vernon (Kathy) Bragg, Martha (Emil) Zell and Karen Schneider. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim was a proud Vietnam veteran, serving in the Marine Corps from 1967-1970 and 1974-1976. He was also a member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 268, VFW, Marine Corps League and American Legion.
