Peter Dake Palmer passed away March 26, 2015 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH. Born in Lockport, NY on September 15, 1948, he was the son of the late C. Rhodes Palmer and Beryl (Cuttle) Palmer. Peter graduated from Kent State University. He founded Dake Woodworks and later acquired New England Wood Designs. At the time of his death he was co-owner of Piggy's Fine Repurposed Goods in Peterborough, NH.

Peter D. Palmer (1948 - 2015)

SURRY, N.H. - Peter Dake Palmer, 66, of Surry, passed away Thursday afternoon, Mar. 26, 2015 at the Cheshire Medical Center following a lengthy period of declining health.

He was born, in Lockport, N.Y., on Sep. 15, 1948, the son of the late C. Rhodes and Beryl (Cuttle) Palmer. He was a graduate of Kent State University.

He married Justine "Tina" Holod on Apr. 22, 1989 in a ceremony in Fitzwilliam, N.H.

He founded Dake Woodworks and later acquired New England Wood Designs. At the time of his death he was co-owner of Piggy's Fine Repurposed Goods in Peterborough, N.H.

He is survived by his wife, of nearly 26 years: Tina (Holod) Palmer; his daughter, Erica Cordes and her husband, Jared, of Wabash, Ind.; his son, Garrett Palmer of Nederland, Colo.; his step-children, Thomas R. Eaton Jr. of Keene and Kristin Eaton Bell of Van Nuys, Calif.; a brother, Rhodes C. Palmer and his wife, Cherryl, of Lockport, N.Y.; a sister, Lee Palmer of Pinellas Park, Fla.; his step-mother, Barbara Palmer of Lockport, N.Y.; a step-brother, Douglas Crowe of Clearwater, Fla.; a step-sister, Diane Crowe of Lockport, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren, Michael, Lena, Paul, Linda, Isaiah and Teresina Cordes, Sam Eaton and Harlan Bell. He was predeceased by his sister Jane Palmer-Poole.

Celebrations of Peter's life will be held at a later date. There will be no public calling hours.
