What a great guy. Never saw him after high school but never forgot him.

Stephen was a good friend and classmate.  Stephen had a great sense of humor and wonderful attitude about life. He was a very smart guy. His intellect included an ability to seriously question things but maintain a positive, almost playful method of getting to the heart of the matter. He was a joy to be with. I was quite shocked to find out about his tragic and untimely passing.  I'm sure that everyone who knew him must have shared that sense of loss that I felt.  Stephen was one of the good ones.

When in 6th grade I went to his house and played with his powered model airplanes.  We took the gas engine from one and mounted it on the handlebars of his bicycle with a lighter fluid can for a gas tank.  Those were the days. His Mom was a regular customer at my father's Texaco station.

Steve Haber was a very good friend and his untimely passing was tragic. He loved the outdoors and adventure. He also loved mountains and it was no surprise that he was hiking in the mountains when he died. Doug Lloyd and I went to Colorado to retreve his belongings and his car for his family. I spent a good portioan of my high school life at his house on Lincoln Avenue along with dave Crosby and others. He is still missed by many people.
